Our Story

During Covid my wife got into embroidery in a big way and, much like myself with 3D printing, enjoyed the accessories that come with the hobby just as much as the hobby itself. The scissors, the cute needle minders, the bobbin organizers, the project cases, what’s not to love!?

The needle case.

It had a lid that refused to stay on and could cause a cascade of deadly needles at any moment…at least that’s how she put it.

“I don’t care what you’re working on right now, I hate this needle case and I need you to print me a new one ASAP!”

And so, with a new charge…and a desire to play with magnets…the “Nifty Needler” was born. So named because it just supposed to be a nifty way for my wife to store her needles. I design and printed a prototype, which she loved. I showed off the nifty thing I made on the r/Embroidery subreddit….turns out a lot more people loved it than just her. So I put a ton more work into polishing the design and adding great ideas from the Embroidery community and my wife’s personal experience to bring our needle case to life.

Years later we now have a whole line of needle craft accessories that have solved some of the most inconvenient problems people have with the hobby, from hard to use winders to numbered bobbins to replace the cheap plastic and cardboard ones. We are always looking to expand and improve what we offer so if you have ideas or feedback please don’t hesitate to reach out!
